Welcome to the Microsoft Azure Data Fundamentals course. 

 

In this one-day course you will learn the fundamentals of database concepts in a cloud environment, get basic skilling in cloud data services, and build a foundational knowledge of cloud data services within Microsoft Azure. You will identify and describe core data concepts such as relational, non-relational, big data, and analytics, and explore how this technology is implemented with Microsoft Azure. You will explore the roles, tasks, and responsibilities in the world of data.  

 

Furthermore you will explore relational data offerings, provisioning and deploying relational databases, and querying relational data through cloud data solutions with Microsoft Azure. You will learn about non-relational data offerings, provisioning and deploying non-relational databases, and non-relational data stores with Microsoft Azure. You will also learn about the available processing options for building data analytics solutions in Azure. You will explore Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Databricks, and Azure HD Insight. Lastly, you will learn what Power BI is, including its building blocks and how they work together.

  • Course Prerequisites

    Prerequisite certification is not required before taking this course. Successful Azure Data Fundamentals learners start with some basic awareness of computing and Internet concepts, and an interest in extracting insights from data. 

    Specifically: 

    • Experience using a web browser, such as Microsoft Edge. 
    • Familiarity with basic data-related concepts, such as working with tables of data in a spreadsheet and visualizing data using charts. 
    • A willingness to learn through hands-on exploration.

What you get

Note: All certificates are electronically issued.  

Important Notes

  • Learners to arrive at the training venue from 08:00 in preparation for 08:30 starting time 
  • Bookings are only confirmed upon receipt of the proof of payment or an official company purchase order. 
  • For full day, on campus courses, Learnfast will supply you with a computer to use for training (if applicable),& tea/coffee and a full lunch. Catering is not included for On-Site training and laptops are available for hire at an additional cost if required. 
  • Cancellation or rescheduling requests must be in writing and reach us via email at least 5-10 working days prior to the course commencement date. Full course fees will be retained for no shows. 
  • Virtual learners are required to have a stable internet connection & a working headset available for sound purposes.  
  • Learners who use their own laptops are fully responsible to ensure that administration rights, software installations, etc. are working sufficiently prior to training. 
  • Learnfast reserves the right to cancel or postpone dates if we require to do so and undertake to inform clients in writing and telephonically of these changes. 
  • Learnfast is not responsible for costs associated with cancellation of classes such as flight and accommodation for clients.
