The CompTIA A+ is taught in a practical workshop evironment. Students will gain the skills and knowledge necessary to perform the following tasks on personal computer hardware and operating systems:

  • Installation, of software.
  • PC building (in a practical environment)
  • System upgrades, system Repairs & System configuration
  • Troubleshooting & Problem diagnosis
  • Preventative maintenance.  

Students will learn how to support PC hardware in a business setting, including installation, troubleshooting, component replacement, networking, and security.

 This course is aligned to qualification  24293 - National Certificate: Information Technology: Technical Support unit standard ID 10313, 14908, 252210, 14919, 14938, 114636, 14921, 14917, 14932, 14937, 14922, 123397, 115789, NQF level 4, 69 credits.
