Welcome to the Coaching and Mentoring learning programme.

 

The Coaching & Mentoring Programme is a SAQA unit standard-based course that teaches learners to perform one-on-one training on the job, conduct training sessions, monitor and report on learner progress and review training.

Do a course at your pace via our “myWay Online Mentored Learning”, combining self-study with supported interactive online video lectures, an online course mentor, extra resources, questionnaires and more, all supported via out Online Student Portal.

In Class or Virtual Class Based Learning

A technology mediated delivery method allowing campus based class or virtual class attendance, or a combination of both. Classes can be in the form of lecture based or mentored based.

 

Mentored Online Learning

A technology mediated, self paced online delivery method with personal mentorship.

What you get

On completion the learners will earn:

  • Certificate of Completion from Learnfast 
  • Certificate of Competency from ETDP SETA upon successful completion of the PoE process (Moderated and found competent)

Important Notes

  • Learners to arrive at the training venue from 08:00 in preparation for 08:30 starting time 
  • Bookings are only confirmed upon receipt of the proof of payment or an official company purchase order. 
  • For full day, on-campus courses, Learnfast will supply you with a computer to use for training (if applicable),& tea/coffee and a full lunch. Catering is not included for On-Site training and laptops are available for hire at an additional cost if required. 
  • Cancellation or rescheduling requests must be in writing and reach us via email at least 5-10 working days prior to the course commencement date. Full course fees will be retained for no shows. 
  • Virtual learners are required to have a stable internet connection & a working headset available for sound purposes.  
  • Learners who use their own laptops are fully responsible to ensure that administration rights, software installations, etc. are working sufficiently prior to training. 
  • Learnfast reserves the right to cancel or postpone dates if we require to do so and undertake to inform clients in writing and telephonically of these changes. 
  • Learnfast is not responsible for costs associated with cancellation of classes such as flight and accommodation for clients. 
 
 

Module 1: Prepare for one – on - one training on the job

After completing this module, the learner will be able to prepare for one-on –one training on the job

  • Review individual task performance in relation to performance requirements.
  • Identify individual learning needs in relation to task performance, intended learning outcomes and stakeholder objectives.
  • Understanding the value of preparation to cater for the needs and responsibilities of stakeholders.
  • Establish the structure of the training plan in co-operation with relevant stakeholders and experts.
  • Arrange resources, locations, and personnel to suit intended delivery.
  • Arrange the learning environment to meet organisational and legislative requirements for safety and accessibility.
  • Confirm review criteria with relevant personnel.


Module 2: Conducting training sessions

After completing this module, the learner will be able to conduct training sessions.

  • Understanding learning outcomes, sequence of activities, job applicability, and the assessment process.
  • The concept of outcomes-based education and training.
  • Using appropriate language mediums and levels.
  • Explore learner needs. -Understand the need for providing sufficient opportunity for practice.
  • Carry out training in accordance with specified requirements.
  • Monitoring learner's progress and make modifications where necessary.
  • Monitor performance in terms of agreed performance outcomes.
  • Performance compliance.
  • Provide constructive feedback to identify strengths and weaknesses.
  • Reporting on training in relation to organisational quality assurance requirements.
  • Determining learner's readiness for formal assessment.


Module 3: Monitor and report on learner progress

After completing this module, the learner

  • Monitor and report on learner progress will be able to monitor and report progress.
  • Specific examples of performance are compared for compliance and agreed performance outcomes


Module 4: Review training

After completing this module, the learner will be able to review training.

  • Using stakeholder feedback to understand impact of training.
  • Using review to make recommendations for improvement
  • Making recommendations to improve in future planning and training

  3. The CAD Corporation retains the rights to change this calendar without any notification.
  4. Tea/coffee and a light lunch will be provided.
  5. All university students will receive a 10% discount for cash payments.
  6. The minimum notice of cancellation is 5 (five) working days prior to the course commencement date. If you fail to do so the full amount is payable.
  7. Students are to be at the training venue by 08h00 in preparation for a 08h30 start time.
