Welcome to the second part of our Microsoft Office Excel training program. This version of Excel incorporates some new features and connectivity options in efforts to make collaboration and production as easy as possible.
 

This course is intended to help all users get up to speed on the different features of Excel and to become familiar with its more advanced selection of features.

 

By the end of this course users should be comfortable in creating advanced formulas, analysing data with functions, working with tables, visualizing data with charts, inserting graphics, and enhancing workbooks.

    It is assumed that the learner:
    • has completed or has an understanding of the materials covered in the first part of the Microsoft Office Excel
    • is comfortable using the keyboard, mouse, and Start menu.
    • mathematical literacy and communication skills at least at NQF level 2/3.
    • ID 258883 Windows Fundamentals: Use generic functions in a Graphical User Interface (GUI)-environment, NQF level 1.
    • ID 116937 Microsoft Excel Essentials: Use a Graphical User Interface (GUI)-based spreadsheet application to create and edit spreadsheets, NQF level 2.

Important Notes

  • Learners to arrive at the training venue from 08:00 in preparation for 08:30 starting time
  • Bookings are only confirmed upon receipt of the proof of payment or an official company purchase order.
  • For full day, on campus courses, Learnfast will supply you with a computer to use for training (if applicable),& tea/coffee and a full lunch. Catering is not included for On-Site training and laptops are available for hire at an additional cost if required.
  • Cancellation or rescheduling requests must be in writing and reach us via email at least 5-10 working days prior to the course commencement date. Full course fees will be retained for no shows.
  • Virtual learners are required to have a stable internet connection & a working headset available for sound purposes.

Module 1: Solve a problem using a Spreadsheet

After completing this module, the learner will be able to prepare and produce a spreadsheet to provide a solution to a given problem.

Module 2: Creating Advanced Calculations

In this lesson the learner will learn how to create advanced calculations, working with Range Names, formulas and functions.

Module 3: Organizing Worksheet Data with Tables

Tables allow you to use Excel’s powerful organizational capabilities without modifying the data itself.

While pure data can be analyzed by those familiar with this data and the tools that Excel provides, sometimes you need graphical assistance to help interpret it.
