Young children are learning and developing quickly especially during the ages of 3 months to 5 years. During this stage children are beginning to get a sense of their own identity and how they differ from others. Organised learning activities help children to develop their learning. This course is catered for an individual who needs to be able to design and develop learning activities that assist in the development of babies, toddlers and young children.

    • It is assumed that learners are competent in Communication at NQF Level 4 or equivalent.

In Class or Virtual Class Based Learning

A technology mediated delivery method allowing campus based class or virtual class attendance, or a combination of both. Classes can be in the form of lecture based or mentored based.

 

Mentored Online Learning

A technology mediated, self paced online delivery method with personal mentorship.

Important Notes

  • Students are to be at the training venue by 08h00 in preparation for a 08h30 start time.
  • Learnfast retains the right to change this calendar without any notification.
  • Bookings are only confirmed upon receipt of the proof of payment or an official company purchase order for the full amount of the training.
  • For full day courses Learnfast will supply you with the relevant training material. A desktop computer to use for the training (where applicable), tea/coffee and a full lunch for full day InClass training hosted at Learnfast only. Catering is not included for OnSite training and laptop is available for hire at an additional cost if required.
  • Cancellation or rescheduling requests must be in writing and reach us via fax or email at least 5 (five) working days prior to the course commencement date. Full course fees may be retained for no shows or requests within 5 working days prior to commencement.
  • Although we go to great lengths to ensure that all training proceeds as scheduled, Learnfast reserves the right to cancel or postpone dates if we require to do so and undertake to inform clients in writing and telephonically of these changes.
  • Learnfast suggests clients wait until a week prior to course commencement that a course has been confirmed to go ahead as scheduled before booking flight and accommodation. Learnfast is NOT responsible for cost associated with cancellation of classes such as flight and accommodation for clients.

Analyse learning and developmental needs of the children within a given context.

  • Analyse the developmental stages and needs of children as individuals and as a group, and links these to developmental outcomes.
  • Link analysis to developmental outcomes.
  • Types of activities are identified that address the needs revealed in the analysis.

Design the activities.

  • Designing of activities caters for provision for input by the child.
  • Purpose of learning activities defines contribution to achieving developmental outcomes.
  • Developing learning activities without any cultural, race and gender bias.
  • Designing of learning activities that are stimulating, challenging, interesting and linked to real-life experience, with opportunities for meaningful reinforcement.
  • Activities are designed to the individual developmental needs and interests of all the children.
  • The activities provide scope for progression, integration towards the achievement of identified outcomes and assessment opportunities.
  • The activities are described in sufficient detail.

Evaluate the design of activities.

  • How to evaluate a learning activity consistently and systematically.
  • Gather feedback from relevant sources.
  • Conduct strengths and weaknesses evaluation of learning activities.
  • Reporting on learning activities and achievement development outcomes, improvements included in report based evaluation findings.

  3. The CAD Corporation retains the rights to change this calendar without any notification.
  4. Tea/coffee and a light lunch will be provided.
  5. All university students will receive a 10% discount for cash payments.
  6. The minimum notice of cancellation is 5 (five) working days prior to the course commencement date. If you fail to do so the full amount is payable.
