Qualification Details


  • Title: National Certificate, Occupationally Directed Education Training and Development Practices, NQF5, SAQA ID 50334, 120 credits
  • Duration: 31 days/240 hours classroom based training + workplace based practical time, stretched over +-12 months.

  • Assessment and Moderation of Portfolio of Evidence submitted by the Learners at the end of each Learning Programs

Practical

Workplace Component


Workplace experiential hours are required to complete the Portfolio of Evidence for each module. The PoE cannot be submitted without this.

 

Prerequisites

 
  • It is assumed that practitioners have expertise in the subject/occupation field in which they intend to provide education, training and development, at a level required to engage meaningfully in ETD within that field.
  • It is also assumed that learners working towards this qualification hold a FETC (minimum Matric Certificate) or equivalent. Further learning assumptions are specified within the associated unit standards where required.

Who Should Attend

 

This qualification will provide practitioners with the general ETD skills required at NQF level 5 across five key ETD roles, with the opportunity to specialise further in one of the following four roles:

  • Design and develop learning interventions.
  • Facilitate learning.
  • Design and conduct assessments.
  • Facilitate skills development.

Practitioners will generally carry out their role within the context of:

  • Given Quality Assurance policies, procedures and processes.
  • A guided and supported learning environment.

Duration

 

A minimum of 120 credits is required to complete the Qualification via Full Time or Part Time option.

30 days classroom training (including Induction and Final Summative Assessment) and then the specifically scheduled workplace practical training time in between these sessions

  • Students are to be at the training venue by 08h00 in preparation for a 08h30 start time.
  • Learnfast retains the right to change this calendar without any notification.
  • Bookings are only confirmed upon receipt of the proof of payment or an official company purchase order for the full amount of the training.
  • For full day courses Learnfast will supply you with the relevant training material. A desktop computer to use for the training (where applicable), tea/coffee and a full lunch for full day InClass training hosted at Learnfast only. Catering is not included for OnSite training and laptop is available for hire at an additional cost if required.
  • Cancellation or rescheduling requests must be in writing and reach us via fax or email at least 5 (five) working days prior to the course commencement date. Full course fees may be retained for no shows or requests within 5 working days prior to commencement.
